Voces Novae et Antiquae's Repertoire

The point of this picture? The VNA sound—fresh, precise, and straight-toned—is usually associated with early music, but we have discovered it is equally well suited to the linear and harmonic complexities found in 20th and 21st century repertoire.

Voces Novae et Antiquae has a strong ongoing commitment to the presentation of new and rarely-heard musics with American connections, as well as music by women composers. In the thirteen years of our existence, we have presented over sixty world and local premieres. Philadelphia-area composers featured on our concerts have included Andrea Clearfield, Jennifer Higdon, Andrew Bleckner, Scott Robinson, Tina Davidson, Harrison Boyle, Elizabeth Holt, and Artistic Director Robert Ross.
